Sheila Corwin:  

After HS I attended the University of South Florida. I commuted for 4 years driving an un-airconditioned AMC Gremlin. I worked at Beall's Department Store on SR 52 and also become the color guard instructor at Gulf HS where my Uncle, ED Francis was the Band director. After earning my BA Degree I began teaching mathematics at GMS then 4 years later transferred to GHS. I continued to instruct the color guard there throughout those years. I had great fun at the football games even though GHS had a losing team almost every year. My Uncle and I took the band on several trips to Washington DC and the Winchester VA to the Apple Blossom Festival. In 1991 when River Ridge High School opened I transferred and finished out my 30 year teaching career there in 2012. Even though my degree was in elementary education I taught secondary mathematics.
